"Adopt an Elf"
You know how on church trips or other times people from the community "sponsor" kids by donating money for causes? That's sort of what adopt-an-elf would be like (if Coach Chunn approves it..fingers crossed). However, instead of keeping all of the money we get donated to us, we would donate half to a charity we can decide on as a cast. If each person in the cast asked 10 people to donate $10 by sponsoring them and our charity, we would make around $1200. (Leaving the Patriot Players with $600 which would be amazing!) It wouldn't take all that much or very long to raise the money. Especially around this time of year, people are willing to give for a good cause. (Well, hopefully.)
Think you guys are up for it? I really want to know what you all think about it, so let me know.
Also.. to cast of Kindertransport. When I heard we were going to do a show about the Holocaust, I had doubts due to the seriousness of the content and the audiences' reactions. But, you guys really made it amazing. I had so much fun developing characters, getting to know you all better, and even making a few inside jokes along the way. We took a show on 60(?) pages of paper and really brought it to life and effected our audiences. Though its hopefully not my last show with you, you really made my last one act special.. and I'm not just saying that. Thanks for everything, I love you all.

I think its a great idea!! How long are you planning on having this fundraiser last? We won't be at school for two days this week; are we not going to pick a charity before then?
Like a week or so? We need to go ahead and get the money so we can get costumes and everything ready. I figure if everyone reads the blog and we get permission by friday, we will have the weekend and whole next week to get our 10 people and then turn in money the friday after the 15th. It would give us time to get costumes and props and everything before we perform and we'd be able to decide on our charity at rehearsal next week.
