It was good to watch you guys cut loose today. (Hey cast, don't tell Abby, but it is hard to improvise with her because she insists on stealing every scene.) But really, all you guys did well. A rehearsal like today's breaks up the monotony of doing the same thing for so long. You had fun today and that is what matters.
Now....let's get ready for show. We need to have a good rehearsal on Thursday in prep for Monday and Tuesday. I am thinking a quick brush up on Thursday of NEXT WEEK and then competition on Friday the 7th. Nonetheless, we can STILL make it better.
ALL OF YOU NEED TO STAY HEALTHY!!!! WE DON'T NEED ANYONE SICK NEXT WEEK. Start taking something now if you are feeling under the weather. (Beat, beat........S@M!)

Cool that you get such a kick
Kindertransport is show number 14 since I came to Westover in the Fall of 2000. Over the years I have always enjoyed how kids get such a kick out of talking about past shows, rehearsals, conferences, going on the road and just really having a good time. The graduating class of 2009 started their Freshman year with How to Eat Like a Child. Out of all of the "times" that I hear you guys talking about, here are some of my favorites. For many of these, you just had to be there.
Rea walking out on stage with a two by four.
Laura at chick fil a
Ashley's friend in Savannah. "Does anybody have anything?!"
Anderson's Gump dance.
Isha
Justin wearing the prom dress
Cadie slapping the crap out of Anderson
Josh's opening night last scene
Ande's improv when the door fell off
Daria's performance in Forum; a personal favorite
Mychal's joke on Megan opening night of Dance Real Slow
"It was a big bus mama."
Henry County's "Hush Little Celia"
Eating at the Cock and Bull; Macon
Kendall, Ramona, and Ashley hallway talk
It'll be "Safe"....there.
more to come

i know i post a lot, BUT
there was a quote i heard on will and grace and it's too amazing to keep to myself..
KAREN: "I might be a pill popping, gin soaked narcissist, but I'm no actor! I listen when people talk."
GTC is TOMORROW!

...
and we are performing! but, don't be nervous!
...
We'll do great and have fun and then get to go to shnazzy workshops and other shows!

...
Excited yet?
So get excited!!

Costumes
Guys,
To give Mr. Collier and I a head start on assembling these costumes, go ahead and bring ANYTHING THAT YOU MAY HAVE that could be considered a costume for your part. I hate to ask you guys to do this, but I have found over years that you would rather where your own clothes instead of someone else's. Here is what I am thinking so far.
Colors need to be sorta plain and dreary. Olives, browns, beiges, grays, blacks?, copper, etc. You get the picture?
Shoes: I am getting character shoes for Julia, Liz and Abby. Sam and Morgan need come kind of flat shoe. Hope to get boots for Dylan (Nazi) and Antuan has his blacks.
Liz: Pants and a top. Classy and sophisticated.
Abby: A dress. We may have one for you. But here is your chance to bring something in.
Morgan: Jeans, a flat shoe, and pullover top. ( Not HIPPIE JEANS!!)
Julia: Either a dress or skirt. Could go either way.
Sam: I will get yours costume, but bring in any shoes you think will work.
Colors need to contrast. We don't want everyone in beige.
YOU GUYS ARE GOING TO HAVE TO HELP MAKE THIS HAPPEN. ALSO, BE ON THE LOOKOUT FOR AN AREA RUG. LET ME KNOW OF ANY LEADS YOU MAY HAVE.
BRING THESE THINGS IN TOMORROW.
It does not have to "BE" period, just "Look" period.
